These stunning glass trays are made in Geelong by Wathaurong Glass. The company formed in 1998 as a social venture using glass as the chosen medium for Aboriginal people in the community to gain skills and confidence to moving in to fulltime employment outside of the business. Today Wathaurong Glass focuses on sustainable employment while delivering quality glass art products. Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative LTD directly benefits from the sale of their glass.
These glass trays are crafted using a technique called glass slimping / kiln forming.
