Small paintings that require framing are usually framed by Raintree Art and will be dispatched within 1-2 weeks. Larger paintings are sent to our preferred framer within a few business days. These will be dispatched to you from the framer within 3 weeks from date of purchase. Please note, we cannot deliver framed paintings overseas.

We endeavour to dispatch all orders that don’t require framing within 2 business days. Express orders placed before midday are usually dispatched same day. Sharon is the youngest of the celebrated Numina sisters, whose bold, confident, and colourful paintings are enjoyed in homes throughout Australia and all over the world. Her sisters are Selina, Louise, Caroline, Jacinta and Lanita – and each of the Numina sisters are highly regarded Aboriginal Artists in their own right. Sharon, her sisters and two brothers are the children of Barbara Pananka Price and the late Douglas Petyarre, and it was two of Douglas’ sisters – the internationally-renowned Aboriginal Artists Gloria and Kathleen Petyarre – who taught their nieces to paint the Bush Medicine Leaf ceremony (Aunty Gloria) and Thorny Lizard Dreaming (Aunty Kathleen). The Numina Sisters are also the great nieces of Emily Kngawarreye and Kudditji Kngawarreye, who along with Minnie Pwerle and Ada Bird Petyarre, are the most internationally acclaimed artists of the Aboriginal Art Movement of the Utopia Aboriginal Lands of the Eastern Desert that emerged in the 1970s.

Like her popular sisters, Sharon has developed a unique interpretation of Aunty Gloria’s Bush Medicine Leaf design, where she captures the leaves in motion as they fall from the tree to form a carpet of leaves on the surface of the desert. Sharon is also unafraid to experiment with vibrant colour combinations and combines beautifully controlled brush strokes to create vibrant pieces celebrating the joy that underpins the Bush Medicine Leaf ceremony. Sharon is now also making quite a name for herself with her stunning ‘Emu Dreaming’ paintings – the story of her Emu Ancestors travelling across her vast Country, digging for seeds and water. Sharon’s ‘Emu Dreaming’ creations have certainly marked her significance as an outstanding and ambitious young artist from Utopia.
