Black Beanie with Embroidered Kulin Nation - Five Feathers Design

Story of the Artwork
Bunjil created the earth and the Kulin Nation.
These five Bunjil (Wedge Tailed Eagle) feathers represent the five language groups of the Eastern Kulin people. The different but similar symbols in Bunjils’ feathers represent their language & culture.

The five groups are BoonWurrung, WoiWurrung, TaungWurrung, DjaDjaWurrung & WadaWurrung. The small inverted “v” inside the other section of Bunjils’ feathers symbolises his ability to live between the earth and the spirit world.
