Kathleen likes to make her bird paintings feel more realistic, which she has done here with beautiful detail in white plumage, with streaks of yellow along the cockatoo's tail and crest.

Background is made up of Kathleen's signature fine dot work, using colours of purple, magenta, and brown compliment the cockatoos.
