Kathleen likes to make her bird paintings feel more realistic, which she has done here with beautiful detail in brown and yellow to bring attention to the spangled feathers and intensity to the eyes.
Background is made up of Kathleen's signature fine dot work, using contrasting colours of green, yellow, red and purple to make the owl really stand out.
