Painted in Central Australia in 2026 on a black canvas piece, this is an intricately painted design depicting a pair of Barn Owls.
Kathleen likes to make her bird paintings feel more realistic, which she has done here with beautiful detail in brown and white to bring attention to the spangled feathers and intensity to the birds' ghostly white faces.
Background is made up of Kathleen's signature fine dot work, using contrasting colours of yellow, blue and red to make the owls come to life.
